$ 60,000.00- $63,750.18 Annually $2,307.69 - $2,451.93 Bi-weekly
Position Summary
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities employees must demonstrate total commitment to outstanding customer service. This includes, but is not limited to, acting in a responsive, professional, courteous manner with the employees, customers, and public we serve at all times. This is a professional position in State Office Human Resources, responsible for providing technical assistance to staff regarding the Agency’s Classification and Compensation and personnel action programs.
The Work You Will Do
Independently coordinate, analyze, prepare, and finalize classification packages and processes.
Investigate and resolve issues related to classification and compensation.
Maintain and update human resources information systems and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Research and interpret personnel statutes, rules, policies, and procedures to determine organizational structure, position exemptions, and inclusion or exclusion criteria.
Provide consultation and technical guidance to management and customers by interpreting state and Agency rules, procedures, and policies.
Prepare, generate, and post monthly personnel reports and ad hoc reports as needed.
Review and maintain classification documentation, including position descriptions, current and proposed organizational charts, and related materials.
Participate in the development, revision, and implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures, and processes.
May travel to surrounding counties as required to support investigations, classification audits, and other related assignments.
Minimum Qualifications

- Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources and managing Human Resources functions.
- Two (2) years of experience administering the Classification System for the State Personnel System.
- Must have a valid Florida Driver's License.
- Position may require some travel to surrounding areas, applicant must be willing and able to travel for work purposes.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Utilizing computer technology used for communication, data gathering and reporting.
- Basic operation of the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams), state rules, policies, procedures, and practices related to personnel functions.
Ability to:
- Plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work assignments with minimal supervision.
- Focus on details, problem solve, communicate effectively through oral and written mediums.
- Maintain records, adhere to deadlines, perform basic filing, maintain records, maintain a professional level of conduct in all aspects of work performance, and the ability to perform in a fast paced, high volume work environment.
- Travel as needed.
Demonstrate Skills in:
- Excellent communication, customer service, spreadsheet preparation and tracking.
- Calendaring, presentation, administrative writing and reporting, and time management.

Direct Deposit Program
As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.
Background Screening Requirement
It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
