JOB SUMMARY: This is a Revenue Program Administrator I - SES - Communications Services Tax Coordinator, position in the General Tax Administration Program, Resource Management Process. The incumbent serves as the Tax Compliance Coordinator for communications services tax, estate tax, gross receipts tax, and provides supplemental assistance to the Sales and Use Tax Compliance Coordinator. The incumbent advises the appropriate operational managers and Core/Business Process Owners on areas of improvement and enhanced efficiency, provides technical assistance and guidance in administering assigned taxes, actively participates in legislative activities, and leads efforts in implementing process improvements or implementing enacted legislation for assigned taxes.

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of experience with communications services tax (Ch. 202, F.S.) administration 
  • Two years of experience with sales and use tax (Ch.212, F.S.) administration
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience composing published tax materials
  • Experience analyzing legislation during the past three legislative sessions


  • Professional experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required degree


  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the rule promulgation process
