Additional requirements:

  • Must be available to work the 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM shift, Saturday through Wednesday.

  • Adaptable shift flexibility when needed.
  • Proficient Desktop Computer Operation.
  • Experience utilizing basic data processing terminology, procedures, and flow concepts to resolve data processing errors
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
  • Knowledge of functions and procedures for data processing quality control.
  • Proficiency with data entry skill
  • Ability to take a knowledge and skills retention test after a quick training.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Independent work ethic under minimal supervision.

Salary Range:  $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 Annually.

 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge to research information and identify and develop approach to implement a plan.
  • Knowledge of basic data processing terminology, procedures and flow. 
  • Knowledge of appropriate tools and equipment needed to perform a job.
  • Knowledge of technology needed to generate or adapt equipment to serve user needs.
  • Knowledge of the functions and procedures for data processing quality control. 
  • Skill in reading and understanding work related documentation and making corrections when changes take place.
  • Skill in conducting tests to determine whether equipment, software, or procedures are operating as expected. 
  • Skill to teach others new tasks or processes.
  • Ability to listen actively and ask questions when appropriate.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

This role is responsible for the operational management of mainframe production activities, encompassing the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of production jobs. This shift has a required working schedule of 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM, Saturday through Wednesday. Responsibilities include verifying batch job processing, diagnosing and resolving batch job termination issues, coordinating with various teams to address problems, and maintaining clear communication regarding production status. The position also involves scheduling and maintaining production jobs, ensuring proficiency in JCL and relevant mainframe software through continuous learning, and consistently reviewing production logs to maintain awareness of system operations.
