WORKING TITLE: CONTRACT FINANCE ANALYST
This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in the Office of Administration.
As a member of the Office of Administration, our mission is to provide efficient and effective administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Florida Department of Corrections. We are dedicated to maintaining high standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all administrative functions, contributing to the overall success and safety of the department.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:
- Invoice Inspector: Review and process monthly invoices for inmate welfare funds at correctional facilities, ensuring everything is up to contract standards before sending them to the Budget Manager.
- Vacancy Detective: Analyze and compile vacancy deductions from reports and documents, then submit your findings to the Bureau staff for review.
- Revenue Reporter: Review and process monthly revenue reports for inmate welfare funds, making sure they meet contractual requirements.
- Travel Coordinator: Organize travel plans and handle reimbursement forms for Bureau staff and on-site contract monitors, following agency procedures.
- Background Check Backup: Step in to process criminal history background checks when needed, supporting the team in maintaining safety and compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) years of clerical experience to include proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience reconciling and processing invoices.
- Contract administration/oversight experience
Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.
