WORKING TITLE: Correctional Services Assistant Consultant-Admission and Release

 

This internal advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in the Office of Admissions.

As a member of the Admission and Release team, our mission is to ensure a smooth and efficient process for admitting and releasing individuals in our care. We are committed to maintaining accurate records, adhering to legal standards, and providing compassionate support throughout the process. Our goal is to facilitate seamless transitions and uphold the integrity and safety of our system.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with the Administrator to develop cutting-edge procedures for the automated offender information system, tackling technical and operational challenges to ensure sentence data accuracy.
  • Dive into complex cases, reviewing, auditing, and restructuring them to align with court instructions and case law, while resolving any inconsistencies in parole commission orders or data documents.
  • Be the go-to source for inmate information, preparing official records and reports, and handling requests from attorneys and criminal justice agencies, all while expertly redacting confidential information according to laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with various Department sections and external entities, preparing detailed responses for inmate parole hearings and media inquiries.
  • Take on exciting additional duties, such as recommending workflow improvements, calculating billing charges for information requests, and managing wanted person notices in the NCIC/FCIC system, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
