Overview
The Office of Regional Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, First Region (RC1) is seeking a versatile and highly skilled professional to serve as a Training, Research, and Administrative Manager. This unique role combines the leadership of internal training and research programs with advanced administrative and policy support functions. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is able to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of discretion and professionalism. An ideal candidate will have experience in and knowledge of both the criminal and civil justice systems and the legislative processes. The position will report to the Administrative Services Director and consult directly with the Regional Counsel. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who works well independently and possesses strong problem-solving abilities.
Position Summary
This is a high-level, hybrid position that blends the responsibilities of:
- Training and Research Manager: Overseeing the development and execution of research initiatives and staff training programs across the agency.
- Administrative Assistant IV: Providing advanced administrative and operational support to the Administrative Services Director and the Regional Counsel, including policy development and strategic administrative planning.
This role requires a deep understanding of agency policies, strong project and personnel management skills, and the ability to work with a high degree of independence and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Research Leadership
- Plan, develop, and implement in-house training programs and research initiatives.
- Assist in preparing and distributing training materials and research reports.
- Manage a centralized resource hub for research, training data, and statistical information.
Administrative & Policy Support
- Assist the Administrative Services Director in formulating, analyzing, and implementing office-wide policies and procedures.
- Conduct complex investigations, research projects, and problem-solving initiatives.
- Coordinate and monitor internal administrative services, staffing processes, and human resources decisions.
- Compile data and reports to support executive-level decision-making and strategic planning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Experience:

- At least 4 years of experience in administration, research, training, or education (with 1 year in a supervisory capacity preferred).
- Experience in a government, legal, or public sector setting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage high-level administrative duties.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive/confidential matters with discretion.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe and other office management and data software.
