POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the CJIS Manager I, this position is responsible for assisting with the administration and resolution of operational and management problems as they relate to Applicant Services Unite (ASU), its related processes, systems, and projects. This position will provide recommendations based on their analysis of the systems and monitor databases to ensure systems are operational. Additionally, this position provides research and analysis relative to state and national laws, rules, and regulations that directly and indirectly impact the dissemination of criminal justice information. This position must meet and maintain NCIC/FCIC certification, as required, and is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of data housed within the department databases.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Providing assistance and recommendations related to multiple ASU-related processes, systems, and special projects;
- Providing assistance in compiling, analyzing, and organizing data to facilitate processes and complete special projects, as assigned;
- Monitoring special projects and ensuring that findings are applied, implemented, and documented;
- Delivering administrative, operational, and technical expertise and support related to processes;
- Providing ongoing quality assurance by identifying problem trends and recommending workable resolutions for CHS-related processes and systems;
- Evaluating and analyzing incoming requests and applying state and federal rules, laws and procedures to formulate a recommendation and ensure compliance with agency requirements; and
- Providing bill analysis in effort to evaluate any potential impact to the section and ASU-related systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of general office procedures and practices;
- Knowledge of the Office of Financial Management payment processing procedures;
- Ability to record, collect, evaluate, and analyze data;
- Ability to organize files, records, and/or other materials;
- Ability to operate personal computers and other office equipment;
- Ability to read and interpret law enforcement data;
- Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness;
- Ability to read and interpret state statutes; and
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

BASE SALARY:
- $47,668.14
NOTES:
Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
