POSITION SUMMARY: 

Under the direction of the Senior Management Analyst Supervisor, this position is responsible for assisting and compiling information regarding system integrity audits for agencies with indirect access to Criminal Justice Information (CJI). This position will serve as a liaison with customers regarding criminal justice information and must meet and maintain NCIC/FCIC (National Crime Information Center/Florida Crime Information Center) certification as required and is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of data housed within the department databases. Understands, as a member of a law enforcement agency, during any critical incident or disaster (both natural and man-made), this position may be designated as an essential service position for a given period, and the incumbent may be required to work after normal business hours, during office closures, or during weekends and/or holidays when needed.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Assisting auditors by compiling required information from agencies with indirect access to CJI in a professional, thorough, and efficient manner on a tri-annual basis or as assigned;
  • Ensuring completion of audit questionnaires and submission of all audit documents are submitted timely;
  • Working with Criminal Justice Information Consultant II’s to ensure they have all pertinent information and documents from entities to make an audit compliance decision;
  • Collaborating with assigned Field Services and User Services Bureau Criminal History Services staff to continually evaluate services needed, requests by local agencies or updating of agency information;
  • Submitting attendance and leave form, work activity reports and other documents in accordance with announced schedules;
  • Serving as liaison with internal and external customers regarding criminal justice information; and
  • Processing CJI Access Reviews for agencies as they come in by reviewing criminal history information to determine if unescorted access to CJI will be deferred or denied.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication;
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system;
  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection;
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand FBI and FDLE criminal justice information services policies;
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data;
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques;
  • Ability to operate computers and other office equipment;
  • Ability to monitor criminal justice information activities;
  • Ability to work independently and within a team by planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments;
  • Ability to communicate effectively; and
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others.

 

BASE SALARY: 

  •  $46,668.01 

 

NOTES:

Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
