Communications Coordinator, Public Affairs (01125)
The Communications Coordinator serves as a member of the Public Affairs unit, whose role is to promote the accomplishments of the State University System of Florida and the Board of Governors. The Communications Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining the reputation of the System and the Board by focusing on communications, social media, and public relations. Under the direction of the Communications Director, the Communications Coordinator role includes managing social media accounts, drafting press releases, and monitoring media coverage. The role also includes developing timely responses to media inquiries, creating engaging social media posts, and analyzing media coverage. The Communications Coordinator must have proficient writing and communication skills. Responsibilities, duties, and activities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related major or (AA and two years of prior work experience)
- Proficiency in writing (writing samples required)
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of social media platforms, specifically Twitter, LinkedIn, and Meta
Preferred Requirements
- Knowledge and/or experience in the State University System or other state agencies in Florida

Hiring Range
Salary range $45,000 - $50,000, based on qualifications and experience.
