This position participates in planning, programming, testing and documentation of technical projects for the Application Development and Support Bureau, Division of Technology and Innovation, within the Florida Department of Education. 

The employee must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions.


The employee must interact courteously with others.


The employee’s performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.


Attendance is an essential function of this position.




Designs and develops interactive, web-based database applications in accordance with client specifications  


Maintains existing applications


Identifies and learns appropriate software applications used and supported by the users and facilitates the integration with SharePoint where possible


Writes reliable computer programs, performs testing and creates documentation


Provides customer assistance and ensures customer needs are met


Perform other duties as required or assigned




  • Proficiency with ASP.NET and Relational Databases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
  • Proficiency with Adobe Forms
  • Demonstrates good organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Ability to think logically, analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment and to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others
