MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

A high school diploma or its equivalent and six (6) years of professional or paraprofessional experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, agriculture, international affairs, hospitality management, nutrition, leisure services, business or industry development, the travel industry or in hotel or restaurant management; or

 

A bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in marketing, business, merchandising, economics, agriculture, international affairs, hospitality management, nutrition, leisure services or communications and two (2) years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, agriculture, international affairs, hospitality management, nutrition, leisure services, business or industry development, the travel industry or in hotel or restaurant management; or

 

A master's degree (6 years) from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in business administration and one (1) year of professional experience as described above.

 

Requires possession of a valid Driver’s License.

JOB DUTIES:

 

Identify and develop new retail partnerships; grow existing partnerships; prepare funding and payment documents; develop new promotional ideas and materials for use in “Fresh From Florida” retail promotions and campaigns; and manage promotions and campaigns.

 

Document retail and industry promotions through capturing key campaign performance metrics and inputting results into the FDACS Salesforce platform.  Duties could include, but not be limited to, campaign development and inputting key highlights into Salesforce and ongoing documentation by clipping ads, capturing sampling and point of purchase data.

 

Develop the "Fresh From Florida" retail promotion program's monthly update newsletter. This includes creating newsletter content, compiling ad data for each retailer from the FDACS Salesforce platform, and sending out the newsletters to each grocery retail partner. Duties also include a monthly audit of the retail account managers' ad entries into Salesforce to check for accuracy.

 

Trade event planning and attendance is required on an as needed basis.  Duties include contacting co-exhibitors, contributing promotional ideas, assembling show materials, and trade show attendance at various regional, national and international events.

 

Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor, Assistant Division Director or Division Director.
