This is an onsite position in Tallahassee, Florida.
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
DEP’s Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) is currently seeking an Information Technology Analyst. This position is responsible for administering and maintaining user accounts within the Department’s Active Directory environment.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:

- Creating, modifying, disabling, restoring, and removing user accounts; updating account attributes; and managing security groups and distribution lists. Tasks also include creating new security groups, removing stale or unused service accounts, and deleting computers from the domain as needed.

- The position also ensures accuracy and consistency of account data across systems by updating usernames, email addresses, and related identity fields. This includes modifying usernames to align with agency naming conventions, creating and updating email aliases, and maintaining ownership of shared mailboxes, security groups, distribution lists, and service accounts.

- In addition, the position manages Florida Digital Service (FDS) user accounts in the Department’s Active Directory structure, ensuring access is provisioned in compliance with agency policy and state-level security standards. Work is performed independently and requires sound judgment to maintain system integrity and support operational and security needs.

- This position provides support for Exchange Online and file access services. Duties include resolving mailbox and calendar issues; creating and updating shared mailboxes, resource rooms, and email aliases; granting OneDrive access; and processing NTFS and file share access requests using approved security groups. Work must follow security policies and be completed in a timely manner.

- This position runs daily and ad hoc reports using the agency’s data visualization tools. Additional duties include managing Office 365 G3 and Adobe licenses, assisting with asset management software, administering the Everbridge notification system, and supporting Service Desk tools. Work requires accuracy and attention to detail.

- This position provides high-quality customer service to Department staff by responding to requests submitted through phone, email, and ticketing systems. The analyst enables, modifies, and troubleshoots Statewide Travel Management System (STMS) accounts; serves as a backup resource for MiFi and air card tracking and activation; and maintains clear, organized procedures and documentation to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

- The role additionally contributes to IT strategic initiatives and performs other duties as assigned, ensuring alignment with the Department’s goals, IT service management practices, and the agency’s Information Technology Strategic Plan.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Position of Special Trust Requirement:
