Requirements:
- Three (3) years of experience working with Microsoft Operating Systems and Application Software.
- Three (3) years of experience in the setup, deployment, and installation of desktops and laptops.
- Three (3) or more years hands on experience providing support for desktop and laptop systems.
- Three (3) years of experience with PC software troubleshooting.
- Three (3) years of experience troubleshooting, testing and resolving hardware problems.
- Three (3) years of experience with software testing.
- Experience with service request ticket tracking systems.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds in weight.
- Proficient in the English Language.
Preferences:
- Professional experience with hardware repair
- Experience assigning and monitoring work assignments for your work unit.
- Experience working on large computer install projects.
Starting salary range for this positon is: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
May be required to work nights and weekends.
This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This is highly technical work including the planning, design, development, acquisition, implementation and maintenance of Departmental statewide microcomputer information systems.
Analyze, resolve, and document complex hardware, software, and communication problems using diagnostic software and/or technical troubleshooting processes to limit down time.
Assemble, install, and configure computer hardware, peripherals, and components; includes modifying: network, database, system, and configuration files for connectivity, and completion of inventory forms.
Research, test, and certify new technology hardware; and provide hardware/software recommendations to procurement staff.
Maintain a stable computing environment and minimize risk to computer systems by ensuring updates and patches are installed.
Record and track software licenses for desktop assets.
Train, assist, and advise other technicians on computer related issues.
Work with vendor contacts and internal technical support staff to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
Provide accurate and up-to-date record keeping of all work performed in the department's service request ticket tracking system.
Complete administrative tasks timely as directed by management. Includes recording and submitting timesheets in accordance with agency policy using the Human Resource system.
Perform other related duties and activities as required in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
