SPECIAL NOTES:
Four (4) years of experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field is preferred. A postsecondary degree in those fields may be used as an alternative for the years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
Requirements:
- Three (3) years of experience working with Microsoft Operating Systems and Application Software.
- Three (3) years of experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop PCs and peripherals.
- Three (3) years of experience with PC software troubleshooting.
- Experience with service request ticket tracking systems.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds in weight.
- Experience in PC imaging.
- Experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming, or in planning or designing distributed computer systems.
- Experience with remote communication hardware and software.
- Fluent in the English language.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience imaging computers using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- Professional experience with hardware repair.
- Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
The salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This is highly technical and/or specialized administrative data processing work: planning, designing, testing and enhancing of a statewide or multi-agency distributed computer systems network for use by end-users including the hardware, software and communication components of distributed systems.
*Acts as a project consultant to plan, design and configure a distributed computer systems environment with appropriate hardware, operating systems software, applications software, and communications components to solve problems for a wide area network.
*Provides advanced technical assistance as required to resolve complex hardware and/or software problems with new and existing computer systems. Includes analyzes and interpretation of data from log files to assist in troubleshooting. Establishes methods and procedures for use of distributed computer systems including hardware, software, communication, and user training.
*Plan, code, edit, test, and deploy task sequences via System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for operating system images and software packages used for departmental computer systems. Assess the effectiveness of software packages and consults with management and users to determine user needs and define system requirements.
* Monitor the production deployment process and SCCM Server Distribution Points for content status and work with the SCCM Administrator to resolve technical issues. Plan, design, test, deploy, and monitor Critical & Security classification updates for computer systems to maintain a stable computing environment and minimize risk to the departments distributed computer systems.
*Performs research and evaluation of hardware and software products related to platform technologies.
*Monitor production deployment process.
