Salary: $2,281.11 bi-weekly ($59,308.86 annually) (In accordance with current spending restrictions, if the appointment is an internal promotion, the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever higher.)

DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for supervising staff, evaluating staff, planning and directing staff’s work, and having general supervisory duties. Incumbent supervises and motivates assigned staff, to ensure their work performance and work product is timely, accurate, and of high quality.
This position will assist in monitoring Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Act compliance; provide assistance in oversight and management for Title II grant funding for State Advisory Group requirements and assist in securing, monitoring and maintain compliance of Federal Title II grant funding for the department.
This position will lead the recruitment, supervision, and strategic direction of all volunteer functions within DJJ Prevention Services; serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, mentors, interns and faith-based partners across Florida.
Identify, organize and coordinate activities for the Faith Community Network, supporting faith-based and community engagement; ensure outreach efforts and One Mentor One Child initiative activities align with DJJ's mentoring priorities.
Develops partnerships and outreach opportunities to increase volunteer and mentoring engagement.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
Ability to collect evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of managing volunteer and faith-based services.
A master's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
Preference will be given to all candidates who possess the following:
Knowledge of Florida Sunshine Law.
Knowledge of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Act.
Knowledge of State Advisory Group requirements.
Knowledge of volunteer and mentoring community engagement.
Knowledge of faith based and community-based services.
