Starting Salary: $1,780.37 Bi-Weekly (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is greater).
DESCRIPTION:
This is an entry-level Contract Manager position, which also includes responsibilities for coordinating work and processing invoices for Department of Juvenile Justice contracts statewide.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will assist with contract management activities within the Bureau of Contract Management, Office of Program Accountability and Program Support. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conduct on-going contract management functions to oversee provider service performance and contract requirements. Serve as a primary contact between the Department and the service provider/program.
Review all contract monitoring reports to ensure service delivery according to contract terms and conditions.
Develop and maintain a contract file for each contract and contract file maintenance review.
Coordinate the activation and implementation of contracted programs (onboardings).
Work with providers to ensure required documentation is submitted with invoices and process invoices according to Florida Statutes (F.S.) 215.422 prompt pay law. Maintain contract expenditure and budget ledger.
Conduct administrative compliance reviews and review provider performance measures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, INCLUDING UTILIZATION OF EQUIPMENT, FOR THE POSITION:
Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedure relating to operational management analysis.
Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and coordinate work assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Understanding and Proficiency in computer technology and systems applications of Microsoft Office, and other functional software programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets using formulas.
Contracting experience.
Knowledgeable in Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) policies and procedures, the continuum of care of services and systems.
A valid driver’s license.
