This position works in Tallahassee as a Fiscal Assistant I.

 

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or its equivalent, and two years of bookkeeping or clerical accounting experience. College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required experience provided such education includes two courses in bookkeeping or accounting. Vocational/technical training in bookkeeping or accounting can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required experience

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Enforcing provider performance of applicable terms and conditions
  • Evaluating provider performance and informing management of issues with service delivery
  • Reviewing and approving benchmarks and processing of invoices
  • Maintaining complete, comprehensive, current, and well organized records
  • Coordinating with the Provider Liaison to recommend technical assistance and training to providers, on a as needed basis
  • Assisting with the development and enforcement of corrective action plans, as deemed necessary
  • Evaluating provider effectiveness and recommending improvements to ensure optimum service delivery, as identified during the invoice review and approval process

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT

It is the policy of the Florida Department of Education that applicants for employment undergo level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
