Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years-experience as a database analyst or database administrator, to include database performance tuning, database management, requirements analysis, software development fundamentals, documentation skills, database security, Oracle PL/SQL packages, T-SQL & P-SQL query design/optimization, and SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle database administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains the Department’s Oracle PL-SQL database data storage and access. Designs and architects database schemas. Provides complete life cycle data generation and outlines critical information for projects. Analyzes business procedures and recommends specific types of data handling methodologies that can be used to improve upon them. Confirm project requirements by studying user requirements conferring with others on project team. Develops conceptual and logical data models, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Develops and maintains data dictionary by creating and revising definitions. Identify and implement data migrations. Analyzes and develops PL/SQL packages, and T-SQL-P-SQL query.
- Participates in performing database tuning as needed: diagnose database performance issues; purpose and implement resolutions; analyze query execution plans and index utilization. Perform database restores as required. Perform data exports and imports as required. Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Leads the database team. Assists with maintaining change logs for database configuration updates and changes for all database servers. Maintains change logs for user accounts and ensure security standards are implemented. Assists in providing monthly database performance reports and in generating baseline statistics/indexes and analyze database performance overtime.
- Coordinates Department data efforts with the State Data Officer’s Office and maintains the Department Data Catalog.
- Performs other work related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of data analysis techniques.
- Coordinating with team members in various technical initiatives and work assignments.
- Ability to communicate technical data effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and work effectively under pressure.
