Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or its equivalency.
• One year of work experience in customer service.

Preferences:

• One year of experience working in a library setting.
• Skilled in navigating online library resources, using internet search methods, and using word processing applications

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs circulation activities
• Manages patron card registrations, card renewals, and patron account updates.
• Performs book repair activities.  
• Performs other work-related duties as required 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to communicate clearly with patrons, co-workers and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work with a variety of computer applications
• Ability to lift and process boxes of books that may weigh up to 20 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, stretch and/or twist.
• Ability to push loaded book trucks.
• Ability to climb and descend stairs.
