The Work You Will Do:
E&O Workforce Development Administrator in the Assistant Secretary of Engineering/State Highway Engineer Office.
This position will manage the statewide workforce development program, leading the statewide efforts for Engineering and Operations.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Supervises employees spending the majority of the time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees’ work. Has the authority to effectively recommend the hiring, transferring, suspension, lay off, recall’s, promotions, discharges, assignments, rewards, or disciplinary actions for subordinate employees. Plans and directs workloads, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with subordinate staff. Provides direction and ensures that all subordinates receive training and instruction in methods and techniques necessary to safely perform their assigned
tasks.
Serve as Workforce Development Administrator. Manage the statewide workforce development program. Responsible for leading the statewide efforts for E&O.
Serve as the Training lead and administrator for Engineering and Operations (E&O). Responsible for the overall training coordination for E&O. Lead the development, monitoring and assessment of the programs. Cross communicates initiatives and develop an interdisciplinary team that can ensure protocols and practices and implemented with the areas. Work with staff, partners, and the public to create a safety and training culture. Serve as the lead and manager the Professional Engineer Trainee Program. Manage the Statewide Professional Engineer Training Program. Responsible for policy and procedure updates and lead/coordinate statewide efforts including the Central Office Phase.
Serves as the lead for the E&O Awards program, maintaining the procedure, ensuring compliance and championing the program initiative.
Serve as the E&O Employee Survey Analyst. Producing action plans, reporting results and detailed analysis of the annual survey. Provide an overview of the Statewide Survey and analysis.
