JOB SUMMARY:

This is an Economic Research Associate - SES position in the Department of Revenue’s Executive Support Program’s Office of Tax Research in Tallahassee. The incumbent will assist in developing forecasts of the revenues administered by the department and will develop revenue impact analysis on proposed legislation; present such forecasts and analyses in a Legislative setting; produce estimates of sales tax exemptions; generate data for interested parties upon request; develop expertise in specific tax types; assist in the production of estimates of local government revenue sources; and conduct other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, Finance or Accounting*
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience making presentations.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • *Work experience with data analysis, statistical analysis, analysis of tax proposals, or the legislative process may substitute for the required degree.

PREFERENCES:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with statistical software.

SALARY: $36,178.68 - $45,000.00
