Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States. 

 

Pay: $43,000 - $48,000 Annually

 

Position Summary: This position is in the Litigation Service Division in Tallahassee. The eDiscovery Operations Analyst reports directly to the eDiscovery Systems Administrator and will be responsible for technical assistance, troubleshooting and administrative support of eDiscovery operations intake, production, and closeout. This position will assist with day-to-day eDiscovery interactions, dealing with customers, software, hardware, and other related duties.

 

Qualifications: 

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming; or
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and two (2) years of experience as described above; or
  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and one year of experience as described above; or
  • A doctorate from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems; or
  • Four years of experience as described above and either (1) completion of a 1440 classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or accredited community college in an area of data processing (excluding data entry), or (2) 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college course work from an accredited institution which includes four courses in computer science or management information systems.
  • Experience as described above can substitute one (1) year for year basis for the required college education. Completion of a one (1) year program of study from a vocational/technical school in an area of data processing (excluding data entry) can substitute for one year of the required experience.

 

The preferred candidate should possess the following skills:

• Literate with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point.

• Able to work independently on a team and under pressure.

• Main phone/receiving desk coverage.

• Strong verbal and writing skills.

• Literate with various Internet browsers including Firefox, Chrome, and Safari

• Strong computer and technology skills

• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions.

• Meet deadlines on a daily basis.

 

Desired Skills but not required:

• Preference will be given to candidates who possess strong computer science experience with data mining. 

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

 

The Work You Will Do: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Provide customer support for various technical requests and troubleshooting of electronic discovery related tasks.
  • Work with the eDiscovery Systems Administrator in support of the eDiscovery Operations Unit.
  • Perform duties such as reporting, documentation, filing, and telephone calls.
  • Assist with the validation of procedural documents.
  • Assist with the quality assurance review and testing.
  • Responsible for maintaining and tracking inventory of eDiscovery hardware.
  • Assist with the upgrade of software, software licenses, operating system updates, etc.
  • Support with testing and evaluation of new software and computer systems.
  • Assist in the loading and processing of data collections that will support electronic material review.
  • Responsible for various other duties as needed.
