Job Description:
This position is in the Division of Technology and Innovation, Bureau of Education Data Center. This management position reports to the Program Management Director and acts as the manager over the Access Management team.
Position Responsibilities:
• This position serves as the manager for the Access Management team.
• Microsoft Active Directory Users and group management.
• Manage and maintain services and functions within the multiple admin centers of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of our SailPoint Identity Management Solution
• Configure access permissions for users and groups based on their job roles (RBAC) and security requirements.
• IBM z/OS Mainframe account management
• Manage and complete public records requests using Microsoft E-discovery tools.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures to control user access to systems and data within the department.
• Assures that confidential data are handled, stored, and disposed of as required by Federal and State law and data exchange agreements by administering data security procedures that meet or exceed those requirements.
• Ensures data management efforts conform to DOE standards and align with DOE agency priorities.
• Provide consultation to senior leaders, management, and staff for developing strategies for improving customer satisfaction and decreasing customer complaints.
• Assist with reviewing administrative policies, procedures, guidelines that support the management reporting system.

- Annual Leave - Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions are credited with 176 hours of annual leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of the initial appointment.
- Sick Leave - Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions shall be credited with 104 hours of sick leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of initial appointment.
