POSITION DESCRIPTION: Create instructional documentation for systems and processes. Research and resolve system issues and errors, including testing system upgrades. Research and resolve report problems and errors.

 

Review and ensure data accuracy and integrity for projects, proposals, and pay items. Manage system security and grant user access to estimating systems and other estimating data. Ensure proper compliance and protection of confidential data.

 

Perform cost history and pay item data analysis. Review technical reports and data extracts for accuracy. Assist internal and external customers with cost history searches and accessibility of published datasets. Perform, provide, or request timely updates of datasets and information published on webpages.

 

Coordinate with other sections within the Program Management Office, and, also, other Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) offices, FDOT partners, and FDOT consultants; Build working relationships with: Specifications, Product Evaluation, Utilities, Maintenance, Construction, Design, Computer Aided Drafting Design (CADD), and various consultants as well as others as deemed appropriate.

 

Create training materials and documents. Deliver training presentations.

 

Schedule meetings. Create agendas. Compile meeting notes. Post updated files and documents to SharePoint.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of FDOT project delivery processes, manuals, and systems; Knowledge of roadway and bridge construction cost estimation methodologies; Skilled in the usage of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint or similar software; Skilled in developing and delivering training sessions in person and remotely; Ability to provide timely responses to customer requests; Ability to create and maintain documentation of issue resolution research and solutions; Ability to understand basic concepts and terminology of highway construction engineering; Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; Ability to work effectively in teams as a participant, facilitator and leader; Ability to interpret and communicate technical information; Ability to analyze processes and workflows to facilitate efficient design of technology solutions and tools; Ability to develop systems documentation and user guides; Ability to adapt to various needs of the Program Management Office.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or its equivalent and four years of relevant employment experience or; an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of relevant experience or; a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
