SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for processing travel and P-Card invoices through manual processes and automated systems, WORKS, and Statewide Travel Management System (STMS). Invoices are reviewed to be in compliance with Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, applicable travel/P-Card rules and procedures. Duties may include but will not be limited to the following:
- Receives, reviews and approves receipt and disbursement source documents in the computerized accounting systems. Audits invoices for accuracy, proper certification, and authorization to pay. Prepares journal transfers when necessary.
- Monitors all disbursements, journal transfers and warrants to assure proper cash management, prompt payment and investment of any excess funds.
- Maintains financial records for individual budget entities in accordance with established accounting guidelines and procedures. Monitors financial coding to ensure it is current, complete, and accurate.
- Assists with Fiscal Year End preparation in WORKS/STMS and other areas as needed.
- Assists in the modification, design, and development of procedures for the improvement of internal control and compliance with established accounting guidelines and procedures. Advise internal and external customers regarding use of the automated WORKS/STMS accounting systems. Assists with training of internal and external customers as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) or more years of experience in administrative work, accounting or auditing. An associate degree can substitute for the years of experience.
