This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Programs and Re-Entry.
Salary: $57,165.16 Annual Rate
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for direct instruction of industry-recognized credential classes.
- Mentors, supports, and liaises with CTE students, teachers and employers for the purpose of securing industry-recognized, stackable credentials.
- Participates in CTE-related meetings, CTE outreach events.
- Provides CTE professional development, including mentorship program to education students and staff.
- Provides CTE technical guidance, including Perkins grant requirements and funded activities to regional education teams, field CTE teaching staff across the state and CTE students.
- Makes budget recommendations to the CTE Administrator.
- Assists in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating quality and compliance of Department Career and Technical Education programs.
- Researches and coordinates industry-recognized credentialing activities, student recruitment activities, assessment instruments and data for the purpose of evaluating program quality and effectiveness. Activities include collecting and compiling data, generating reports that address program effectiveness and inmate participation levels, and establishing methods of receiving feedback on programs to provide ongoing enhancement of CTE, pre-apprenticeships and credentialing programs statewide. Uses educator and student feedback to improve CTE programs that meet the needs of the inmates.
- Assists in the development of rules, policies, procedures, and directives as they relate to applicable program areas and ensures adherence of the same.
- Serves on committees and task forces as assigned. Consults other state agencies and represents the Department in matters related to career/technical education. Provides guidance and informs regional managers and field staff of any pertinent changes affecting the applicable program areas.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in either corrections education programs or career/technical education fields.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree.
