This advertisement is for a SES position located at Central Office in the Office of Programs & Re-Entry.
Salary Range: ($56,330.95 -$69,580.83).
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs, supervises and/or oversees the purchasing, accounting, budget control, human resources, and related business programs functions of the operations of the Office of Programs and Re-Entry. Ensures compliance with departmental directives related to the execution of associated functions.
- Oversees the establishment and maintenance of the purchasing, accounting, budget control, human resources, facilities, and related business programs procedures for expenses, general revenue, fixed capital outlay, etc.
- Oversees the preparation and interpretation of all financial statements, budgets, and other fiscal reports for the Division.
- Examines all purchase requests to determine the availability of funds or budgetary status for the requesting department.
- Coordinates the activities of purchasing, human resources, budget, and accounting departments.
- Recommends fiscal policies pertaining to the business affairs and use of materials, supplies and services.
- Examines documents to determine compliance with established procedure and internal control.
- Communicates with vendors, department heads and other officials to accomplish the necessary functions for the Division.
- Coordinates the preparation of the operating budgets, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and timeliness in processing.
- Provides direct supervision to designated staff.
- Ensures that mandatory training, performance appraisals and standards are completed timely and accurately.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be a Current employee of Florida Department of Corrections.
- Completion of an advanced degree from an accredted college or university and (2) years of professional business (fiance & accounting, procurement):; OR completetion of a (4) year degree from an accredited college or university and (4) years of professional business (finance & accounting, procurement) experience; OR a High school diploma or its equlvalent and (8) years professional business (finance & accounting, procurement) experience.
