This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in the Bureau of Substance Use Treatment & Transition Services.

 

Salary: $44,060.11 - $55,872.16 Annual Range

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent in this position is considered to have regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60L-36, Florida Administrative Code.

The incumbent in this position is expected to become familiar in the Department’s reentry initiatives; display leadership skills that demonstrate the Department’s commitment to reentry efforts while maintaining a professional demeanor.

The incumbent in this position is expected to perform other duties as necessary.

  • Assists with the development, review, and analysis of program data, OBIS reports and other reports, recommending changes to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and cost savings measures. Monitoring and tracking contract site visits, comprehensive program evaluations and contractor corrective action plans.
  • Assists in the management of special projects including procurement, invoice certification, expenditures and allocations, referral approval and data entry.
  • Prepare and track purchase requests. Solicit program materials and services. Review usage trends and program materials management practices.  Research and determine order quantities and cost/value of materials and services.  Submit purchase requests for materials and services required by contracted in-prison treatment providers, department programs and program management staff. Assists with the development of procurement requests and resulting contracts.
  • Drafts responses to correspondence from inmates, inmate families, department staff, and other general public inquiries.  Review and research requested information for appropriate responses.
  • Assists with the planning, coordination, and implementation of the Department’s Roadmap to Restoration initiative, including planning meetings, maintaining participation data base, compiling community recommendations and facilitating meetings.
  • Assists with the coordination and review of program monitoring from a quality assurance perspective to communicate with Bureau field staff to identify and resolve program issues.
  • Assists with providing program related guidance to specified vendor and FDC staff.
  • Assists with project research and reporting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; OR seven years of equivalent work experience that is relevant to this position that can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using the Offender Based Information System (OBIS), MyFlorida Marketplace (MFMP), Ariba on Demand (AOD), and National Crime Information System/Florida Crime Information System (NCIC/FCIC).
  • Experience working with correctional programs to include, volunteers, in-prison and community based programs, and re-entry programs.
