Human Resourse Specialist/HR-SES – 70013049
This advertisement is for a SES (Selected Exempt Service) position located at Central Office in the Office of Human Resource Services – Payroll.
Salary: $47,667.36 - $48,776.26 Annual Range
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes military leave by reviewing military orders and ensuring time sheets and payroll has processed appropriately and ensuring that the Division of Retirement is sent a copy of the DD-214 when employee has returned from Military leave.
- Provide payroll training/guidance to new hires.
- Processes biweekly, CJIP, LWOP, and supplemental payrolls for their respective areas. This may include ensuring that all documents are obtained.
- Coordinates with appropriate Payroll and Administration staff to verify that semi-annual payments of uniform allowance are timely and accurate.
- Works closely with the Local Human Resource (HR) representatives in the Institutions to ensure accurate processing of all payroll actions including (but not limited to) new hires, terminations, salary changes, tuition reimbursement, on call/call back, and other miscellaneous changes.
- Works with the appropriate Central Office Workers’ Compensation Coordinators and Local HR Representative with entry of workers’ compensation timesheets for their assigned Institutions.
- Assists the Human Resource Managers(s) and payroll staff as needed. Serves as a back-up to the HRM.
- Assists the Personnel Services Specialist and Personnel Technician III with Payroll related job functions as needed.
- Completes training timely and as required.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one (1) year of State of Florida payroll experience.
