Operations Review Specialist – 70000814

 

This advertisement is for a Career Service position located in Region I within the Office of Programs and Re-Entry, Bureau of Program Development.

 

Salary Range: $45,308.75 - $63,129.55 annually

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a regional liaison at assigned facilities to the Bureau leadership for CINAS and other Bureau and OPR initiatives.
  • Conducts quarterly site visits at each assigned facility to review operations and conduct fidelity monitoring as related to CINAS and other Bureau and OPR initiatives.
  • Reviews and remains current on administrative policies, procedures, guidelines, system mechanics, and directives related to CINAS and other Bureau and OPR initiatives.
  • Identifies operational issues and barriers at assigned facilities in the implementation and administration of CINAS and other Bureau and OPR initiatives and communicates the same with recommended resolutions to Bureau leadership.
  • Continuously investigates, assesses, and analyzes data related to CINAS and other Bureau and OPR initiatives and resolves database or system errors in accordance with system procedures and policies set by Bureau leadership.
  • Provides training and guidance to facility administration and their staff in the management and operation of CINAS and other Bureau and OPR initiatives in accordance with Bureau leadership direction.
  • Attends and participates as needed, in facility, regional, and/or state meetings on behalf of the Bureau as instructed by the Bureau Chief or the Assistant Bureau Chief.
  • Serves as liaison to other sections, bureaus, and internal/external stakeholders in relation to CINAS and other Bureau and OPR initiatives as directed by the Bureau Chief or the Assistant Bureau Chief.
  • Compiles and analyzes data related to liaison and oversight duties and prepares reports detailing site visits, successes, barriers, issues, and staff feedback and provides recommendations to resolve issues and barriers.
  • Conducts staff training for both Office of Institutions and Office of Community Corrections as directed by the Bureau Chief or Assistant Bureau Chief for CINAS and other Bureau and OPR initiatives.
  • Conducts case management practices at assigned facilities as directed by the Bureau Chief or Assistant Bureau Chief.
  • Performs as an instructor/facilitator for inmate programming as directed by the Bureau Chief or Assistant Bureau Chief.
  • Attends, delivers, and participates in training related to CINAS, instruction or facilitation of programs, and other Bureau and OPR initiatives as directed by the Bureau Chief or Assistant Bureau Chief.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by the Bureau Chief or Assistant Bureau Chief.
  • This position requires a significant amount of travel, approximately 50 to 75% of the work week.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university AND four (4) years of professional experience in corrections conducting staff training or providing coaching, mentoring, and technical support to staff regarding correctional systems or operations. Experience must be clearly indicated on the State of Florida Application OR
  • Two (2) years of FDC institutional experience within the last ten (10) years as a Classification Officer or above
