This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Education Services.

 

Salary: $61,326.20 Annual Rate

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in the solicitation, development and review of contract documents. Reviews and evaluates operational and contract monitoring reports for identified areas of non-compliance and make recommendations to management on corrective action needed for assigned program area(s). 
  • Provides operational assistance to institutional staff for assigned program area(s) and  makes recommendations to management for improving decision making to ensure enhanced efficiency.
  • Approves/disapproves expenditure requests through the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) system for assigned program  area(s).
  • Manages and documents any changes to the contract through the amendment, change order and communication process authorized by the terms of the Contract.
  • Reviews proposed changes in laws and regulations to determine impact on assigned program areas and provides recommendations to management on
  • any changes needed to the Department’s contracts, procedures and policies.
  • Reviews and responds to informal and formal inmate grievances relating to operations and contract related issues for     assigned program area(s).
  • Exercises applicable remedies such as requesting a Corrective Action Plan, reducing the invoice, assessing financial consequences, or terminating the Contract as appropriate, when a contractor’s performance is deficient.
  • Verifies receipt of deliverables from the Contractor for assigned contract(s).
  • Monitors Contractor progress and performance for assigned contract(s) to ensure procured products (deliverables) and services conform to the contract requirements; keep timely records of findings.
  • Conducts meetings, both video and/or in person, with Contractors and program areas as needed.
  • Reviews, verifies and approves invoices received from the Contractor for assigned contract(s).
  • Monitors the contract budget/process invoices to ensure sufficient funds are available throughout the term of the contract.
  • Maintains all appropriate hard copy and electronic contract file documents as appropriate and as required.
  • Conducts annual contract program evaluations and administers corrective action plans as required.  
  • Conducts site visits to ensure program compliance, as necessary. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience with contracted career/technical education program implementation and monitoring.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite.
