Personnel Technician III – 70900447

 

This advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located at Central Office in the Office of Human Resources – Administration.

 

Salary: $18.00 Hourly Rate

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing correspondence using Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Receiving, processing, verifying, and maintaining personnel related documents related   to employment verifications, new hire packages, public records requests, and reference checks on current and/or inactive employees.
  • Answering questions regarding current employees and separated employees related to their personnel file.
  • Assisting with tracking and maintaining personnel files, retention and/or rotation of files, and terminated files.
  • Filing, creating, and updating new hire packets.
  • Providing phone coverage for the Bureau as needed.
  • Processing incoming and distributing mail for the Bureau.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Retirement - As an OPS employee, the Florida FICA Alternative Plan with Corebridge Financial affords you an excellent opportunity to help accumulate money for a secure retirement. You contribute 7.5% of your compensation to this tax deferred plan. All OPS employees are required to participate in this plan and are automatically enrolled.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one (1) or more years of professional human resources, administrative or customer service experience. College education from an accredited college or university can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the work experience.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
