Personnel Technician III – 70900487
This advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located at Central Office in the Leave and Attendance Section.
Salary: $18.00 Hourly Rate
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processing correspondences using Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Receiving, processing, verifying, and maintaining attendance and leave related documents and files.
- Providing guidance related to workers' compensation, FMLA/FSWP and/or donations to employees in the Payroll or Benefits section and Local Human Resource Representatives.
- Represents the Office of Human Resources as a liaison and contact between the Department, People First, Department of Management Services, Division of Risk Management, State Comptroller, the workers' compensation carrier, and other entities as appropriate; and
- Reviewing and processing FMLA/FSWP requests, to include, but not limited to, reviewing documentation to determine eligibility, and providing consultative assistance to Department employees.
- Reviewing and processing leave donation requests by reviewing documentation to determine eligibility and providing consultative assistance to Department employees.

You contribute 7.5% of your compensation to this tax deferred plan. All OPS employees are required to participate in this plan and are automatically enrolled.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience processing Workers’ Compensation, FMLA and/or leave donations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience processing leave and attendance actions in PeopleFirst.
- Experience processing timesheets.
- Experience with database/systems.
