This advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located Central Office in the Office of Administration (Retirement & Benefits).
Salary: $18.00 Hourly Rate
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Human Resources - Administration Unit, as it pertains to Retirement and Benefits and Security Services Unit.
- Provides support to managers and departmental staff regarding activities related to retirement and benefits.
- Provides interpretation of policies, procedures, and rules. Maintains an extensive filing system of electronic records and redacts files as required in response to public records requests, and archives and destroys files according to retention schedule.
- The incumbent is computer literate and has working knowledge of the internet, personnel tracking system(s), SharePoint, People First, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Receives, processes, verifies, and maintains personnel related documents, related to retirement and benefits such as: assisting with salary certifications for retirement, processing retirement invoices, vouchering for insurance, and requesting insurance refunds.
- Assists with tracking and processing insurance over/under payments.
- Helps, guidance, and maintains up-to-date information as it pertains to retirement and benefits.
- Gathers statistical data and compiling and/or preparing reports.
- Serves as a back-up for phone coverage for the Office of Human Resources.
- Assists with processing incoming and distribution of mail for the unit; and
- Performs other duties, as assigned.

You contribute 7.5% of your compensation to this tax deferred plan. All OPS employees are required to participate in this plan and are automatically enrolled.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Two (2) years of professional Human Resources/Personnel Experience.
