This advertisement is for an Other Personal Services (OPS) position located at Central Office in the Office of Human Resource Services – Project Management.

 

Salary Rate: $18.00/hourly

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking an OPS Personnel Technician III to work for the Office of Human Resources at Central Office in Tallahassee, Florida.  This position performs a variety of independent professional technical duties for the Human Resources Project Manager.  This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Works closely with the staff in the institutions to ensure projects are completed timely.
  • Event planning and coordination.
  • Monitors outstanding projects and provides updates.
  • Conducts research related to all OHR projects.
  • Develops presentations for members of Executive Leadership.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of computer software including applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Direct Support Organizations.
  • Skills in time management.
  • Skills in organization.
  • Skills in providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to compose professional correspondence.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure; and
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Must possess customer service experience.
  • Must possess experience working in a professional office setting.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience working in the State of Florida’s People First System.
