This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Legal Services.

 

Salary: $33,760.00 - $34,316.71 Annual Range

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and maintains case files; ensures files have all required documentation. Pull files using all resources available.
  • Prepares files for imaging process; operates scanning and other reproduction equipment for duplication, storage and retrieval of records.
  • Updates activity and status in all necessary databases to meet deadlines and performance standards; performs clerical work required sustained high-volume entry of data in database(s).
  • Timely reviews and triages all incoming mail (electronic and/or hard copy), update in appropriate database(s) and accurately distribute or process for next appropriate action. Maintain a record of all hard copy mail received in the Office of General Counsel.
  • Prepares standard legal documents for attorney signature such as complaints, petitions, motions, notices, orders, final judgments, etc. Drafts general correspondence for attorney review.
  • Performs miscellaneous office administration tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, e-filing, faxing and delivering documents to other members.
  • Back-up responsibilities in other areas as may be designated.
  • Answers multi-line telephone, takes messages, and refers calls to appropriate party.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two (2) years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
    • High school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.
    • College education from an accredited institution can substitute on a year for year basis for each year of the required work experience.
    • Vocationa/Technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.
    • Professional or non-professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the college education.
