This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in the Office of Information Technology.

Salary Rate: $68,602.82 annually

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages projects from initiation through closure phases.
  • Manages project resources and participates in project activities.
  • Creates, manages and adheres to project management plans consistent with PMO standards. 
  • Creates, manages and adheres to detailed project management schedules.
  • Assists other project managers with data collection, meeting facilitation, documentation and other project needs.
  • Collects and documents detailed business requirements.
  • Assists with daily, weekly and monthly PMO operational tasks and reporting.
  • Manages project and/or project teams with the ability to lead, communicate and provide written documentation.
  • Leads and coordinates IT and stakeholder meetings regarding project management processes, governance, methodologies and statuses.
  • Leads or participates in meetings with all-level of stakeholders.
  • Manages factors that affect change to ensure projects remain within approved schedule, scope and budget.
  • Works with stakeholders to identify and document project requirements, scope and other applicable project documents.
  • Works to ensure projects adhere to PMO standards.
  • Leads team meetings to assess risk, identify conflicts, barriers and issues.
  • Assists in the development of new, and refinement of established, IT policies, procedures, practices and methods.
  • Coordinates the activities in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of information systems or projects which include gathering user requirements, leading business requirements gathering sessions (JADs), defining As-Is, To-Be, and other business requirements, organizing user test plans, and performing quality analysis and control.
  • Analyzes business processes, policies, and procedures and reports findings.
  • Leads or participates in regular meetings with technical personnel to review progress of projects and provide updates.
  • Maintains project artifacts in accordance with PMO standards and other documentation as necessary to ensure compliance with chapter 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code.
  • Assists and participates in the IT Governance process within the Department.
  • Analyzes IT Governance Demands.
  • Collaborates with external business units with inquiries and facilitate Governance duties.
  • Participates in and improves upon IT Service Management processes and services.
  • Monitors small project efforts and assists OIT staff by creating templates, process flows, user guides, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Please note, when submitting a college/university degree, if selected for this position official transcripts will be required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Insititute (PMI).
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience using Project Management Institute’s (PMI) methodologies and best practices.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in IT Projects as a Project Manager or related duties.
  • Knowledge and experience working with the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience managing IT projects in accordance with Rule 60GG-1, FL Administrative Code.
