JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Federal Funds Administrator - Revenue Program Administrator I - SES position in the General Tax Administration (GTA) Program. The incumbent in this role will provide guidance and direction to the assigned resources responsible for administering reimbursement and reporting activities related to the Reemployment Tax (RT) collection services interagency agreement with FloridaCommerce along with other federally funded agreements. Other federal agreements include funding from Federal Highway Safety Administration and monthly mailroom services provided to the Child Support Program (CSP).

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Provides quality assurance reviews for all reimbursement requests and required federal reports
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state guidelines
  • Prepares the annual Program Operating Plan (POP) outlining anticipated expenditures for the RT collection services interagency agreement
  • Completes the annual Schedule of Expenditure of Federal Awards (SEFA)
  • Responds to auditor or other 3rd party reviewer requests
  • Serves as backup in compiling and submitting the annual Resource Justification Model (RJM) to FloridaCommerce
  • Participate on intradepartmental teams developing legislative budget requests and other financial reporting tools for monitoring and estimating expenses
  • Leads efforts in securing contracted services for future cost studies or program evaluations
  • Works with Program contract and procurement staff to ensure 3rd party data sharing agreements are timely executed and renewed
  • Works with unit subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure policies and procedures are up to date

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eight years of experience working in governmental accounting, grant management, or accounting.
  • At least two years of the required experience above should be in a supervisory capacity (e.g. planning and directing employees’ work, evaluating employees).
  • Experience with the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, accounting, finance, or other related field can substitute for four years of the required work experience.

PREFERENCES: 

  • Familiarity with 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards).
  • Experience working with agency leadership.       

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position is located in Tallahassee, Florida and is not eligible for telework.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $7,500.00 monthly/$90,000.00 annually.
