The Work You Will Do:

Financial Management Accountant – Financial Management Office/Contract Funds and Grant Management.

 

This position will audit and processes contract/written agreement payments using statewide and agency unique accounting systems.

Annual Salary Range:

$45,009.74 to 58,247.90

 

 

 

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Assists with various tasks to support Statewide Contracts, Grants and Funds Management, including daily and other periodic reporting activities, status changes, inbox activities, and year-end activities.

 

Documents receipt of single audits and performs compliance reviews in the Single Audit Reporting Application.  Prepares late notices, reminders, and other memoranda as directed.

 

Prepares monthly and quarterly federal and state reporting requirements.

 

Provides technical assistance with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Contracts Management Power BI.

 

Performs other duties as required.

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles, practices and procedures; Knowledge of computer system concepts; Knowledge of the methods of data collection

Ability to:

  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations and policies.; Ability to prepare financial related reports. Ability to utilize automated spreadsheet applications; Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records; Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Ability to analyze processes for best practice methods; Ability to formulate accounting system requirements and development testing methods to verify accounting system components. Ability to coordinate data required from others; Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; Ability to work independently.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Four years of professional accounting, auditing, or management information systems’ experience or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a business related field.
