Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Six (6) years of experience in Public Policy, Public Administration, or Finance. A post-secondary degree may be used as an alternative for the years of required experience on a year-for-year basis.

The anticipated salary for this position will be $72,000.00 annually.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position spends most of their time supervising and/or managing a team, which includes providing annual performance expectations and evaluations, selecting qualified individuals to fill vacancies, reviewing, and approving time sheets, taking appropriate corrective/disciplinary action and providing regular feedback. Communicates with, motivates, trains, and evaluates employees. Plans and directs employees’ work and must recommend actions such as hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees.
Managerial work planning, supervising, and coordinating accounting, budgeting, and other financial activities at the highest level of management. Responsible for overseeing and monitoring all grant related activities for the Division including the drafting, approval, and execution of contractual grant agreements, abiding by the terms of contractual grant agreements, and procurement of goods. This includes and is not limited to monitoring the facilitation of all state funded grants (fixed capital outlay projects and equipment purchases) and Division funded grants (firefighter assistance) from approval of the annual general appropriations act to contractual closeout. Assist in the development of operational procedures, policies, guidelines, and regulations.
Supports the Bureau Chief in liaison duties between the Division and internal and external stakeholders related to all legislation and administrative litigation. Internal stakeholders include and are not limited to the DFS Office of the General Counsel, DFS Legislative Affairs, DFS Divisions and Offices, Division staff, and others in government (federal, state, and local); external stakeholders include constituents, statutory boards and councils, and industry associations. Attends a variety of meetings and periodically travels.
