MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional experience in consumer complaint program work, business administration, customer or public relations, investigations; or administrative work and/or professional regulation, or a field related to the area of responsibility or
A master's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience or
Professional or technical experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
Requires possession of a valid Driver’s License.

JOB DUTIES:
General: Serves as the bureau’s Contracts and Grants Management Specialist. Assists food recovery programs with establishment and continued support for operations. Provides professional-level assistance to administrators in the Bureau of Supplemental Food Programs on a variety of tasks and obligations related to the distribution of salvaged foods. Manages contracts through their life cycle and ensure proper management of all food recovery contracts and grants.
Serves as contract manager for the divisions’ legislative contracts as they relate to food recovery, food distribution, or other food programs. Follows contract manager guidelines established by the Florida Department of Management Services. Monitors legislature sessions and activities (e.g., hearings, etc.) related to food recovery and prepares and execute contracts upon legislative appropriations approval. Prepares and submits various reports as required.
Serves as point of contact and lead for the bureau in the completion of grant applications related to food recovery and distribution. Applies grant manager practices and monitor grants awarded from initial award to grant closeout. Develop, maintain, and ensure proper grants management procedures are in place and consistently followed, including but not limited to grant reporting, award letters, grant agreements, and procedures to ensure availability of funds. Prepares financial and budget plans, if applicable, and maintain records of all payments and receivables. Work closely with food distribution organizations to achieve grant goals, and prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by the grant(s).
Performs data collection, develop reports and evaluates food recovery program grants for measurable achievement. Assists management in a variety of research and reporting functions related to food distribution. Assists management in preparing materials and reports for presentations and/or required submissions.
Develops and updates annually, the public information brochure as required by statute. Drafts and submits the report on food recovery programs for the Legislature by October 1st annually as required by statute.
Assists with the bureau's emergency management functions during periods of disaster.
Performs related work as required and other duties as assigned.
