The Work You Will Do:
Forecasting and Project Cost Systems Support Manager /Program Management Office
This will be a supervisory position responsible for management of the Forecasting and Project Cost Support staff as well as, development and project cost training plan, distribution of the Basis of Estimates Handbook, coordination and quality control of project cost data, reports, and systems, and supporting customers with pay items, project cost data and project cost systems.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Supervises staff and manages training plan for forecasting and project cost systems. Provides training to the Districts and Turnpike Enterprise after major modifications to forecasting and project cost systems and as needed/requested. Also, provides training for Basis of Estimates Manual. Prepare and deliver presentations as required.
Provides information and assistance on the use of Department pay items to internal and external customers. Reviews policies, procedures, specifications, method of measurement and basis of pay requirements for impacts to project cost processes and systems. Manages the preparation and distribution of the Basis of Estimates Handbook.
Manages and supervises Forecasting and Project Cost Support Staff in providing support to the Districts and Turnpike Enterprise with all forecasting and project cost and pay item data, and systems. Coordination with other offices within the Department, FDOT partners, FDOT consultants, FHWA and others as appropriate.
Manages and supervises staff in maintaining the Department's Pay Item Database, forecasting and project cost systems, SharePoint, and website.
Provides project cost data, reports, and other information to Legislature, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) upper management, FDOT partners, FDOT consultants, FHWA and others as appropriate. Performs Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs) on project cost data and coordinates with the appropriate office for correction to ensure data is complete and accurate.
Manages project cost system Security Coordination Statewide. Establishes, maintains, and controls access to project cost systems. Ensures that users have proper level of access to comply with Florida Statutes, policies, and procedures.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of the concepts, terminology, principles and analytical techniques related to the Department’s project cost, pay items, unit prices and/or proposal/contract data.
- Knowledge of engineering design, construction, production and/or operations.
Ability to:
- Ability to monitor and evaluate compliance with standards, specifications and/or rules and regulations.
- Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data.
- Ability to solve problems relating to engineering.
- Ability to apply engineering quantitative techniques.
- Ability to supervise people.
- Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
- Ability to communicate engineering information effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Other Job-Related Requirements:
- This position is required to respond before, during and following emergency situations.
- Some travel required.
