What you will do:
This position serves as the manager over the General Services Fleet Unit and serves as the lead for recruitment activities. This job is devoted to focusing on operational improvements supporting the infrastructure of the region and promoting workforce stability. This is advanced professional work supervising and directing employees.

Duties Include:
The primary duty of the incumbent in this position is to spend the majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training and evaluating employees, planning and directing their work; and having the authority to effectively recommend actions such as: hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, promote, discharge, assign, and reward or discipline direct reports. Evaluates employees against established standards and takes appropriate actions when necessary (i.e. recognition, reward, corrective action, etc.). Oversees recruitment of staff and works with HR business partners to develop tools for hiring and recruitment. Provides training for staff and oversees ongoing activities for continuous improvement.
Shall serve as the Agency Fleet Manager, overseeing fleet management related functions for the agency. This includes the implementation and daily operations related to fleet and development of all policy and procedures. Reviews and monitors state and federal laws, regulations and directives related to fleet. Manages the Fleet Management Team within the Office of General Services in accordance with established policies and procedules.
Shall be responsible for all fleet data systems, contracts management for leased fleet, vehicle repairs, fleet allocations, fleet insurance, accident management, fleet safety protocols, primary coordinator with the Department of Management Services as required for fleet related issues and maintaining CFOP 40-2. Shall foster partnerships with other DCF programs and agencies to administer our fleet management systems to optimize the utilization of the fleet while keeping it maintained and operating within the established budget. Shall produce periodic reports to management related to the current status of the fleet and identify issues and strategies that advance the agency directive to meet the needs of operations. Ensure liability accident reports and automobile accident reports are reported to the Department of Financial Services, Bureau of State Liability Claims and provides a copy to Workers Comp.
