What you will do:

This position is with the Headquarters General Services team and will be filled in Tallahassee.  The incumbent will support processes focused on property and equipment management and accountability, including tangible property accountability/inventory.  Experience in records management and insurance policy coordination is also beneficial.

Work directly with field staff to coordinate and provide policy guidance on property and equipment requests, including receiving and affixing inventory control tags for department owned equipment,

Collaborate with program offices and field staff to ensure property inventory is accurately accounted for

Provides policy guidance regarding property surplus and disposal processes

Serve as liaison for the Department with other state agencies on day-to-day property and equipment management issues.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Working hours: Daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years General Services related work experience, and a high school diploma or its equivalent. Advanced education from an accredited university or college can substitute on a year-to-year basis of the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• State of Florida Property and Inventory experience, including FLAIR
• Principles and practices of property inventory and accountability
• Customer service experience.
