SPECIAL NOTES:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the field of education, psychology, communications, business, or a related field is preferred. Experience in the areas described can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the preferred college education.

- Experience in public speaking.
- Experience creating training in Articulate Storyline or similar software.
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Familiar with adult learning theory models.
- Experience designing, developing, and facilitating courses.

The standard workday is 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This salary range for this position is $41,561.52 - $43,000.00 annually.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of DMS rules related to the personnel system; general office procedures and practices; correct grammar usage; Microsoft Office; ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities; ability to communicate effectively; review data for accuracy and completeness; establish and maintain working relationships with others; develop and implement office procedures; knowledge of principles of human behavior and learning styles; ability to compile and analyze data relating to the development of training and evaluation programs; conduct research; work independently; utilize problem-solving techniques; prepare professional papers; and coordinate work assignments.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This role entails a significant level of responsibility and professionalism within the Office of Learning and Development, which operates under the Bureau of Human Resource Management.
The primary duty of this position is to coordinate the design and development of training materials for both instructor-led and computer-based formats, in accordance with the Program’s strategic objectives and revision schedule.
Duties also involve coordinating the implementation and facilitation of training sessions, both in person and online.
The incumbent occupying this position will be tasked with assigning curriculums, monitoring trainee progress effectively, and maintaining compliance logs.
The team member in this position must use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make independent decisions, plan, evaluate, analyze data, formulate strategies, and recommend solutions with minimal supervision.
Additionally, the incumbent will assist the Training Manager in overseeing daily agency-wide learning and development initiatives.
Provide technical support for end users of the People First Learning Management System (LMS).
