SPECIAL NOTES:

Four (4) years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Management is required. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Management OR an associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Management, and (2) years of the required experience may be used as an alternative for the years of required experience.

 

Additional requirements:

  • Three (3) years of experience working with the principles and practices of personnel administration.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience applying rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to personnel administration.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience organizing data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

 

Preference:

  • Knowledge of labor laws to include the Fair Labor Standard Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Knowledge of and skill in utilizing automated Personnel Systems, Organizational Chart software and other document management systems.
  • Knowledge of and skill in the recruitment process, including interviewing techniques, and candidate assessments.
  • Knowledge of various Retention strategies and programs

This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.

 

The salary range for this position is $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 annually.

 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

This position will carry out the established recruitment strategies, to include development/updating of position descriptions, Classification Structure, Reclassification packages and related documents. You will lead the recruitment process, including initial interviews and assessments. Source, research, and manage outside third parties to develop online recruitment platforms.

 

You will oversee the On-Boarding process of New Hires, perform research, analysis, coordination, and assistance to management staff in the areas of personnel administration. (i.e.- Recruitment and Selection, Classification, Performance Appraisals, Pay and Benefits and Employee Relations to identify trends and areas for potential training opportunities.)

 

You will also be responsible for developing and updating various reports. (i.e.- Organizational Charts, Vacancy Reports, and Measurement tools.)
