Requirement:

  • Two (2) years of experience leading, developing, and performing compliance audits, developing annual audit plans, including risk assessments, and test of controls.

  

A bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university is preferred.

 

The work hours for this position is 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

 

The salary range for this positions is $52,859.88 to $61,628.40.

 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

 

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the methods of compiling and analyzing data.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to review, analyze and evaluate data.
  • Ability to conduct in-house training programs.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Lead and perform compliance audits of Division operations and in-house payments processed through the Risk Management Claims Information Management System.  These duties include, but are not limited to, the development of audit plans and programs, audit workpapers, sample selection, review of payment and supporting documentation, analysis of findings, and report development summarizing audit results. Lead in developing an annual audit plan for internal compliance audits of Division operations, including risk assessments and test of controls.
