Preferences:
- Professional experience in disbursements (accounts payable).
- Professional experience in either reviewing, managing or monitoring contracts and or grants.
- Professional experience in interpreting and applying laws, rules and agency policies.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
The base annual salary for this position is $56,452.33.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate information verbally and in writing to individuals or groups. Ability to investigate, review, analyze, and evaluate contract, grant, and disbursement documentation. Ability to conduct fact-finding research. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to contracts, grants, and all types of disbursements. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to independently plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This is a professional accounting/auditing position involving the independent application of accounting and auditing concepts, principles, theories, and technical skills. This position will be conducting pre-audits of payments and expanded audits of payments, as well as reviewing contracts and grants for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and Chief Financial Officer Memoranda.
