POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the General Services Operations Manager for the Missing Persons & Offender Enforcement (MPOE) Operation Support, this position is responsible, at the headquarters level, for oversight of multiple projects that support the mission of Enforcement and Investigative Support (EIS) and MPOE. This position coordinates administrative support and direction for the Florida Missing and Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse Advisory Board and Foundation (MEPICAB); the Florida Missing Children’s Day ceremony, public awareness and education efforts; coordination of the EIS grants projects, and related web content and publications; and special projects related to missing persons location, child safety and identification, and abduction prevention.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Recommending and establishing procedures to achieve operational objectives by prioritizing assignments and establishing workloads;
- Assisting in the development and implementation of more effective missing persons’ awareness and prevention, unidentified initiatives, and administrative procedures and controls;
- Interpreting and administering pertinent federal and state rules, regulations, and statues in accordance with state and federal requirements;
- Preparing proposals, reports, cost/benefit projections, and related project documentation as required;
- Ensuring projects are completed in accordance with established time frames and procedures;
- Ensuring necessary project documentation including timelines, evaluations, and recommendations for similar future projects are reported and appropriately recorded and archived for future reference;
- Maintaining proficiency in graphic design, which is essential to delivering high quality customer service for both internal and external stakeholders;
- Developing training materials, operational documents, and public facing products that directly serve the Missing Person Offender Enforcement Division, Florida Missing Children’s Day, the MEPIC Advisory Board, and citizens; and
- Accepting additional travel requests and the extensive design brochure support required for the MEPIC AB Strategic Plan and the Florida Missing Children’s Day Foundation at conferences and training events which may span an entire week, requiring significant preparation, adaptability, and extensive travel time and at a high cost.

BACKGROUND:
FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.
