POSITION SUMMARY:

This position oversees the administration, management, and compliance of the Local Law Enforcement Immigration Grant Program. This position will work closely with various local law enforcement agencies and correctional agencies to prepare grant agreements, monitor grant spending, track deliverables, and prepare detailed reports as required. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience with grant writing and compliance, and a deep understanding of government funding processes. This role requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong customer service, and a commitment to ensuring effective use of grant funds.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of Local Law Enforcement Immigration grants, from application submission through post-award reporting through the electronic grant management system;
  • Collaborating with external partners in order to prepare grant agreements, ensuring compliance with the specific requirements of the funding;
  • Reviewing grant applications to ensure adherence to all funding guidelines;
  • Developing and maintaining grant budgets, ensuring proper allocation and expenditure of funds in line with grant requirements;
  • Coordinating the review and approval of financial reports for grants, including tracking all financial documentation, receipts, and expenses;
  • Ensuring that all grants are administered in compliance with state regulations;
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for grant recipients and internal departments regarding grant-related matters for assigned awards; and
  • Tracking the progress of grants and ensuring that the funded programs meet performance goals and outcomes.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis;
  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices;
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices;
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials;
  • Ability to conduct fact finding research;
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; and
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  

SALARY RANGE:

  • $52,250 - $60,000

State Board of Immigration requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.
